Craig Crippen Benefit and Memorial
June 30, 2010
As I’m sure anyone reading this is aware, Craig Crippen lost his battle on June 29, at 8:00pm. He was surrounded in love by his wife, son, parents, and daughters. His final transition was very peaceful, and all of us were very happy that we could be there with him. We are hoping that many of his Toledo area friends and family can join us on July 11 to help honor and remember his incredible life. Joan and Vinny are now hoping to join us, so that they too can be with such good friends to pay respect to Craig.
If you intend to join us, PLEASE consider getting a ticket in advance so that we best prepare for the number of people. Please see the post below for detailed information on how you can get a ticket, or reserve a seat in advance. Event will begin at 12:30, and will end around 5:00. We plan to extend the ending time on the silent auction to allow for later arrivals. Thanks so much to everyone who has already been helpful by getting advanced tickets, sending in donations, providing items for the auction, or just by showing your support to Craig and the family with comments on his blog!
With appreciation,
Mary Dressel
Silent Auction
June 20, 2010
Well, I thought my idea of listing auction items was a great idea. What I didn’t count on was the tremendous outpouring of items, and the fact that my trip to Colorado would divert my energy to taking care of Craig, and keeping his blog current. I did do some updates below from what I know. But I also know that there will be many more amazing items! The $25 brunch will likely be a small investment towards a great item you may leave with. We need to get a lot of people there! So get the word out. Send a check to reserve a space (details below) or buy a ticket from Andrea Crippen, Ed Dressel, Chelle Zoltanski, Jeff Feller, Matt Townsend, or me. We’d really like to encourage all interested to get a ticket or reserve a space in advance so we know how many to plan for.
Thanks everyone!

Benefit Brunch at The Navy Bistro, July 11
June 5, 2010
Hello Friends!
Please join us for a benefit brunch and silent auction at The Navy Bistro in Downtown Toledo on July 11, to help raise money for Craig Crippen and his family. In short, Craig is a native Toledoan that has been recently diagnosed with NUT midline carcinoma, which is a rare form of cancer. You can read more details in Craig’s blog.
Here are ways in which you can help:
- Join us on July 11 at the Navy Bistro. You can purchase a ticket or reserve a seat in advance for $25. Children 12 and under are $10. Advanced tickets at this price are available through July 3rd. After that, tickets may be purchased at the door for $30 (children still $10). See below for details on advanced tickets.
- Make a donation! If you cannot attend, you can still send a donation to the address below.
- Donate an item for the silent auction. Please send an email to marydressel@gmail.com if you have an item you’d like to donate. You can either bring it to the event, or make an arrangement for one of us to pick it up in advance. I’d like to start a list of items, so please start emailing items (with pics if you can). You can also print the CraigCrippenFoundation to give to businesses, for donations or auction items.
- Get the word out! Please let others know about this event. Download the flyer to help spread the word.
ADVANCED TICKETS:
Tickets for July 11, can be purchased through Edward and Mary Dressel, Chelle Zoltanski, Andrea Crippen, Jeff Feller, or Matt Townsend.
You can also reserve a seat by sending a check (made out to Craig Crippen) to Mary Dressel. The appropriate number of seats for the check amount will be reserved in the name of the check holder. * If you are just sending a donation, please note “donation” in the memo.
